Synopsis
Rescue Me is a darkly comedic drama that follows New York City firefighter Tommy Gavin as he grapples with the emotional and psychological fallout of 9/11. Balancing the chaos of his dangerous job with personal struggles – addiction, family turmoil, and survivor’s guilt – Tommy is haunted by the ghosts of those he’s lost. The series offers an unflinching look at masculinity, trauma, and redemption through the camaraderie and conflicts of life in the firehouse.

The Guardian
“This series is officially on fire now. the series earns both its drama and its bleak, soul-cleansing humor.”

“Rescue Me respects its characters enough to show their failings, and it respects us enough to make our own judgments.”
