Synopsis

G (2002), directed by Christopher Scott Cherot, is a stylish reimagining of The Great Gatsby set in the world of hip-hop success and high-society glamour. The story follows Summer G (Richard T. Jones), a charismatic music mogul who has risen from humble beginnings to the top of the industry. Despite his wealth and fame, he remains haunted by the memory of Sky Hightower (Chenoa Maxwell), the woman he once loved but lost.

Now married to the polished and powerful Chip Hightower (Blair Underwood), Sky has settled into a life of luxury among the East Coast elite. When Summer G moves into a lavish mansion in the Hamptons and begins throwing extravagant parties, his hidden motive becomes clear — he hopes to win Sky back.

As old feelings resurface, the lives of Summer G, Sky, and Chip collide in a world defined by ambition, jealousy, and class divides. Beneath the glamour and the music lies a deeper story about love, regret, and the cost of chasing a dream.
